    Default Empire Total War

    Great game.:D

Here you got the chance to command the ship of your dreams. From the biggest first rate to the smallest sloop.

    Has anyone played the game?

I've played it a little but felt the designers lost the plot after Rome Total War which was wonderful. After Rome they did the Am Rev and this one on the Napoleonic period but both just seemed to loose focus on the fun aspect of strategic play. The battles were still very good though I never got to fight a large naval one. I only played around with the campaign game so I should probably re-visit it and do a naval scenario.

I played for about a year and found the battles great, but the bookkeeping a bore. Using auto only lost the game quicker. I agree with Daniel, Rome was far superior.

    Yep.

Think you can buy it for a few (Canadian)Dollars.

It's fun to fire a broadside with a ship of the line on a much smaller vessel. Sometimes you hit the ammo chamber and the whole ship explodes.;)

You have to care for the wind, three different kinds of ammo, boarding action, fire, leaking hulls, etc...
