    Default HMS Implacable

If anyone has a spare Commerse de Bordeaux/Duguay-Trouin 1788

With slight modification, ie flag swap plus new card and insert you can have another RN SoL

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Implacable_(1805)

I shall be adding this to my fleet as soon as I can pick a SGN 102 up

I would assume the paintwork would be almost identical so just a flag/ name change would be sufficient, unless anyone else has different info ?

HMS Implacable survived until the end of WW2 but neither UK or France would pay to turn her into a museum, not surprisingly just after the war, but a shame anyway.

Strange to say Chris, I started this for our ships column only yesterday.
I have completed the Duguay part, and Hope to get the implacable History done tomorrow.

Yes, Chris, that is truly a shame.

I think the Téméraire-class is the most representative ships of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars. It's also a favourite of mine.

It's sad that it was so late it was scuttled. Pity that other countries like Sweden that weren't as torn by the war didn't step in and buy it. It could have been bought back just a few decades later.

I still cry into my G&T every time I think about it.
We could have had a First rate, a 74 and a Frigate all based in dear old England.

It's a shame for sure, I understand their decision though. No money for food, let alone old ships!

I've used them to Sweden. They are alright. They recently lowered international shipping.

I'm trying to not order from them as I don't need more ships... but a few more for some conversions...

Its conversions where my main interest lies now too Jonas.
I am going down the Implacable road I think, as you have said we do not have enough Téméraire-class on the table
I also want to get my hands on the new ships when they come out to start a bit more amputations etc.

I already have 24 of them so I think I can manage for now... Its more of the Hebe-class and sloops that has my interest.
