Its a quote (tagline) from a tourism ad featuring Paul Hogan done some years back.
Thanks all for the shout outs.
Any excuse for a day off.
For the record I know of no-one that has ever put a shrimp on the Barbie.
Hi Chris,
I'm interested to know which ship you (or anyone else for that matter) use for the
Spanish ship Rayo and if/how you've modified it from the standard base ship.
Also if you have modified...
Are you meaning by the hashtag post number - top of the post on the right hand side - right clicking and selecting "copy link address"
or something else?
Hope you don't mind Rob but I had some time to spare so I adjusted your excellent struck and captured ship cards.
I removed the flag and used the same font size for both cards.

My Hull from Clipper made it to Australia mid-week and like Rob, mine is undercoated white awaiting painting.
Public holiday this coming Wednesday and RDO's Thurs and Fri make for a 5 day weekend...
While collating the stats on an excel spreadsheet I'm updating I noticed the following:
Merchantman "Bertin" - The last 3 ship boxes are 1-2-1 0-1-0 0-1-1 (last stat gains a gun}

I don't expect mine to arrive that quick but I'll let everyone know the second it gets to Aus.
In the meantime I've ordered another SGN111 for the sails, deck and base.
The sails are a bit...
Hey David,
You could always take a Santisima Trinidad and remove a deck and make a proper size Santa Ana :takecover:
Check out this excellent post.

I think I'll leave the sail angles as per originals.
Does anyone know of a historical reason as to why the Spanish 1st rates Sail and
Firing arcs are not more like the British and French...
I've spent the last couple of days drawing up replacement ship base inserts and measuring all sorts of distances of the original paper.
I'm trying to make it easier for any additional ships I want...
I think the smaller without the logo is best suited, plus I don't believe there is a large pic of 113b.
I did the boxes for all my ships with the ship name and flag on one side and have started looking into doing a card box to hold the 3-4 pieces of ship logs between games.
I'm still not sure whether...
Alastair/Andrew,
Rivalsky was supposed to be expanding into Sails from Wings here in Aus but I haven't seen any sign of it yet.
Still hoping he will get stock soon.
Its all looking extremely good so far but I have a few questions/suggestions I hope you take as intended.
Is the main screen going to be fixed to the dimensions as it is now?
Some of the ship...
Rob: How close in size are the masts between the Tonnant and Merchant ships, Close enough for just a rear mast swap?
Or maybe one of the last undersize wave is a closer match I can butcher....
I'd look forward to trying this out.
I have a PC located right next to my gaming table specifically for reasons like this.
Only suggestion I have for where to share it would be the free...
I did notice a few more starter sets appeared last time I did an ebay search recently.
My not so local store had a 2nd hand one with a price tag of about what I paid for my last new one.
...
I can overlook the inverse jibs and I don't think a lot of people would notice until it was pointed out.
Having seen the pics of the boxed merchant at GenCon I don't think that has been rectified....
The GenCon report on Ares' website now mentions a September release.
I've heard a rumour of the delay due to a production mistake which I hope is a certain sail.
There was a brief discussion in another thread.
Most disappointed with the lateen rig on the rear of the French 80.
If this is correct along with how short it looks on the base,
I think I will be...
