That would be my best guess also Dave, although they look more like shovels than mops and worms, but as you say they are not very well defined.
Rob.
Thanks Paul.
It is a three stage project with the two bits of mainland added. The hardest part was the town as you may have guessed, but now that Brigade Models are up and running again, I just...
Todays work comprised a bit more terra forming around the fort and a few more walls taking shape, but tomorrow I'm back to making loads of steps.
ob.
Thanks Vol.
The Old town is almost complete now. Just a few more buildings and flights of steps to add, and then I can put in the planting around the buildings and age the whole thing. Then it is on...
Also thank you for the return of Rep Vol. I just discovered your posting.
Rob.
You more than earned the rep Vol.
Today I started roughing out the headland to place the fort and juxtapose it with the Dubrovnic old town.
Fort painted yesterday. Now just the guns and flag to add. I wonder if I should do the 1802 version of the French flag?:takecover:
Rob.
...
That's a beauty Vol.
I remember her with fondness, although not so in the case of Mr. Christian!
:pistole::Arrrr:
Bligh.
Here is the fort now completed and undercoated.
Rob.
You can find them in the hobby section of the files Vol.

It was still called the white ensign just did not have the red saltire.
Rob.
Here is today's offering. A Saint Lawrence iconic statue in a niche.
Tomorrow hopefully the fore building drawbridge and endless flights of steps.
Houston, we have a problem.
I am opening Pandora's box.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Vol, but you are flying the wrong ensign and national flag.
The Union did not take place until 1801, so...
Yesterday I added the other outer wall.
Just the ends, top a few stairs and a Saint in his niche to do and she will be ready for undercoating.
Rob.
That is true Dobbs, but the Mercantile Marine also used the red duster. If you were sailing directly under Admiralty Orders rather than a specific Admiral's command you flew the white.
Rob.
Vol, I only said expected! I would get Dave to confirm it. Do send him a Pm.
Rob.
A lot of that will be to do with her role. As a hired merchantman she may still have flown the Red merchant ensign, but directly under the Admiralty orders she may have flown White. Dave Manley may...
Here is today's progress. The first outer wall has now gone on.
Rob.
The fort is Lovrijenac at Dubrovnic. Captured by the French in 1802 and thus a good place for some spoiling raids by the British.
Rob.
When completed the fort should look something like this. Rob.
Your ships just get better and better Vol. It is starting to look just like the ones that you see in museums!
Rob.
Today I added most of the rear of the fort.
During the day I glued those parts together and fettled the edges.
I finally got started on Fort Lovrijenac which is my last major scratch build for Dubrovnic.
