Thanks for that AAR, Dobbs - well illustrated and well told a story.
Welcome, Pete! :thumbsup::drinks:
Ooh! Nice. Appreciated.

...and that should have been “less than 3 relaxed hours”. “Less than a relaxed...” would be imply “not...
Zounds! That was over with the flicker of a flame. No doubt Alligator would have done her best if she had been called upon to aid the Thorn. Surely you were playing the Thorn and not the Alligator,...

Smoke does funny things to one's eyesight. That must be it.

Three Royal Navy ships sunk just like that. Must be fantasy. Impossible....or should that be "inconceivable", unless that word does not mean what I think it means. :help:
My only question is...
White is just easy to spot. What ever else do you think? :surrender:
Thanks, John of Derbyshire. Civil war do tend to get confusing as to which ship is on which side. Better with playing the French on one side. They have white flags.
Yes, indeed! Welcome, Peter.
That's quite clever. Sure you not working in the info ops business?
I might expect you're right on all counts, but then there's that photo posted by Rob. But what is true these days?
As a Vagabond you might want to catch the AAR involving the Vagabond Prince...
The scenario prescribed one counter; of course assuming I understood it correctly.
Yup, a near run thing. One bad draw or not having got two mast hits on the Diana and the Hermione would have been taken. Thanks for the rep; just glad there's still people around to read the...

Not at all like a meditation on a bed of nails.
I've been painting minis for years and years. These days the problems have to do with aging eyes and sometimes eye crud floating in front...
Thanks, Mike. I have to admit that the ship building comes with a certain amount of cussing as an "input". It is getting less though - why rigging can even be a little meditative.
Correction - my is called "Water World" by Deep Cut, but they may have changed the name. It looks the same as yours. The Caribbean one looks to be more of a teal colour, but computer screens can be...
Those look good, Rob, and have a similarity to my photos above. What sea mat are you using? Mine are Deep Cut Studios Atlantic ones. I might have preferred their Caribbean ones but I also wanted...
I'll be interested in before and after photos to see how it works out.
Glad you enjoyed the game, Rob.
The rules work well for larger fleet actions. SoG is good for about 4 per side in a solo game (i.e., I can manage 8 in total). More than that I get flustered and...
Thanks for the rep, Rob. I'll replace the last two photos once the ships are fully rigged. The photos are a result of not being satisfied with my iphone 14 pro max photos and digging out my decade...
