I was recently perusing Perry Miniatures' sailors and marines, and it got me wondering. Have any of you linked your SoG games with land-based games for a two-part scenario or wider campaign?

I ran across this interesting video about Thomas Cochrane and thought some of you might like it as well:

Not quite the workbench, but I'm reading Osprey's "Great Lakes Warships, 1812-1815" to put up a review here. Maybe it'll spur me to get back to the hobby side of things a bit.
Honestly, I've never played a game of Sails of Glory that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. It doesn't matter if I win or lose, I always have fun, and that makes it one of my favorite games, even if it's...
I'm definitely intrigued.
I've come late to the (anti)party, but I'm glad you've been recovering well!
I've been away for awhile, but I see everyone's skill and creativity is as mind-blowing as ever!
I just picked up this privateer from GHQ, as well as a cutter. I'll post more pictures when I get it painted up.

Truly wonderful work, everyone!
LOL
Very nice! I like all of these.
Is there a specific size of sleeves that fit the cards well, or are you just using bigger ones? (I don't have anything to measure the cards with at the moment.)
I'm grand when it comes to storing my ships, but other than rubber bands (not my favorite, since they wear down the edges), I don't have a good storage system for movement decks and ship logs. Any...

Huzzah!
For gameplay I usually let my opponent(s) choose sides. While I've mainly thought of the Napoleonic Wars from a non-French perspective (Anglophone orientation, I guess), I've been preparing to play...
It seems like we tend to approach things from the perspective of the British Royal Navy (and to a lesser extent the fledgeling American Navy) as protagonists around here. Nothing too surprising...
Also, the short version:

"A narrative of the expedition to Algiers in the year 1816, under the command of the Right Hon. Admiral Lord Viscount Exmouth" by Abraham V. Salamé
The attack on Algiers to free European slaves...
Ares makes sloops. Langton's or GHQ for schooners, brigs, and gunboats.
The best choice is generally Langton's, which makes models in 1:1200. For gunboats, I would pick up some from both their Great Lakes and Napoleonic lines.
