I'm pretty sure any problem was with the explanation/understanding of the scenario. From this it's pretty clear that no re-planning is intended.

The ideal number of ships per player is clearly one. If your battles aren't interesting enough you need to add more players.
I'm hoping to be putting together a reasonably large game in a couple of weeks, and I was pondering a victory point system. I would like it to simply reflect the custom of ships of the line not...
A lot of great discussion here!
I suppose my suggested tweak is somewhat comparable to the Langton half move on turn 3. I'm personally not a fan of the idea of turning a tack into a game of...
I was pondering the practical differences of ships reversing course by turning into vs. away from the wind. So I figured I'd maneuver through a set for comparison and share the pictures...

Yeah, no trouble moving those at that price...
You mean the site that's giving me database errors this morning?
IMHO a site not running properly is not a good reason to blindly throw money at it.

Oh my... The brass ratlines just arrived, so I hunted down this thread to see about rigging one of mine, and none of the pictures are loading for me. Have these images all been lost? That would be...
I haven't handled them myself, but it appears that the Ship's logs from wave 2 are too large for the current ships mats. You may want to verify that and adjust your dimensions accordingly before...
What was the total size of your order? Your numbers may be the closest we ever get to a real estimate of percentage of shipment damaged.
I really wonder what all of the broken Wave @ models will mean for retail stocks...
You know what I would like to see, Keith? I'd like to see a new attitude indicator that was taller than the masts of the ships, so you could actually slide it over the center mast to line up the...
Yeah, I thought that was odd...
This is a great idea! I don't know why it wasn't incorporated as part of the standard rules for being Taken Aback, actually (without the action requirement).
Well, maybe that's why the full broadside damage value is the same as the rear guns only value...
Probably too late in the production prcess, but is there room for a pair of anchors on your ratline sheets?
Sure, you guys are right, but this is an oversight/abstraction to the action system in general, not the continuous fire rules. Pretty sure the Marines were not usually asked to put their guns down...
Except that reloading drives the action system in the game, which is a nice tactical addition to the *oG system. Ditch Continuous Fire instead and you preserve a more intersting game mechanic.
That said, we've not used the rule in any of the games I've run so far.[/QUOTE]
So, am I correct in thinking the suggestion to limit the action to one side at a time was due to crew limitations? If...
Again, I could be misreading the rules, but I think your example is off:
should simply be:
Turn 1: Fire Action
Turn 2: Reload action
And in the second example:
you can scrap turn 7, so...
Sometimes I find it truly odd which products are or are not commercially viable for this site...
4 pounds for a set of bags, 12 for shipping. :bleh:
I also don't think this rule is particularly well balanced or thought out. My current opinion is the the quick pace of Continuous Fire should require both a Reload and Fire action dedicated each...
Their specific "exclusive" commitment is as follows:
Given that wording, I expect we will eventually see these ships released to the general public, but probably not for a few years. I would be...
