The sail rigging is very fine thread glued on with superglue and then given a wash over with diluted PVA prior to painting.

We do not have Walmart in England as such, but they own ASDA stores. I ordered some of the 3mm foam yesterday from Amazon so should be underway with it in a few days time. It is not sticky...
