This is the model...
Could be that was part of the "Modifications" introduced with Captain too. This is the only ref I could find for Canada herself:...
A little pop of green for Canada's bulkheads and beakhead, as seen on the reference model......
They're also being used as temporary bases for assembly. :)
Nowhere near Julian's quality, but more work on Canada...

Thanks, Julian--when Keppel took her out in 1778 she was reported as having a red hull.

Front Left: HMS Polyphemus, Ares upgrade
Front Right: HMS Canada, completely...
This is what ThreeDecks and Silverstone say. Here's everything I have on navalized Baltimore schooners, sorted by datapoint date with the Swan baseline for comparison...

Changes the math a LOT--12x 6pdr is a little weaker than a Swan. More so when you take the secondary batteries into account.
Again, don't treat that as a finl answer, but more a prototype for test and eval, "fling it at the wall and see if it sticks." In terms of length and beam, Enterprise is the very floor of anything...
Ooh, that's gonna be sticky... don't forget that Enterprise was rerigged as a brig sometime before the War of 1812. Size is smaller than a Swan, not sure if construction materials will make up the...
Rob, do you have a specific ship you're trying to mimic with your schooner? I'd look to Sixth Rates as an approximation, the French built a lot of two-masted brig-corvettes in that general rating...
Build up color slow in washes? I usually thinned Vallejos 1 drop paint to 3-4 drops water Way Back When, but for these ships it's more like 1 to 1-2.
ARS San Jose is slowly taking on her hull...
28 guns? That's no schooner, that's a small FRIGATE! :P

A little more on Victory with an Intrepid...
That's not a knock on Henry, either--his Victory in the middle of Ares ships is like having Patrick Stewart or Denzel Washington play pick-up ball filling in with a neighborhood community-theater...
Preliminary take on Henry's ships even with none finished: they don't fit well alongside Ares because they're TOO GOOD--even the "Chunkies" are loaded with fine detail fit to enter into an IPMS...
First steps on Victory...

Started priming Victory with Vallejo 950 overnight. Something sinister about that hull all in black...
Caught me with insomnia and trying to work up tomorrow's shopping list for the craft store... :) if this crap keeps up for much more than another 2-3 hours I might as well forget sleep and start...
Culloden at the Nile is described as "yellow sides with two narrow black strakes. David Manley referred me to this paining by William Anderson:...
Henry's multinational fleet arrived today!
In the queue:
---1778 HMS Victory (pre-refit, to be painted 1760s-70s red)
---Purisima Concepcion 3-deckers: ARS Purisima Concepcion, ARS San Jose, HMS...
Indiaman, or Flying Dutchman? lol Is that his Falmouth?
Henry tells me that BHR is planned for his stab at Continentals, and I'm trying to persuade him to also do a Pre-Refit version to upgrade...
Did find a supplier who's compliant with FS spec, but ten bucks for two ounces on a project that may never resume is a little steep. Tamiya X23 looks close enough though and a lot cheaper.
This is...
Rustoleum, their parent company, basiclly gutted the business unit, stripping it down to kits and a handful of basic paints/glues....
Vallejo were my go-to for custom repaints in War at Sea days, more convenient for me to get and one of the Forumini crew had pre-built the cross-reference on them for our game. Also liked the easy...
