Frigate wrecks.
Look forward to seeing them finished Jonas.
Now Doncaster is over and I don't need all my Sloops any more, one of those is destined to become a wreck too.
Rob.
Aircraft! Loads of aircraft. If I have time to paint them between regimental/SK stuff, and an event in Europe.
Pictures please Gary.
Rob.
Once Ive done the Orks I'll post them. But for now, here are the Imperium's aircraft.
Attachment 45899
Very fine they look too Gary. Nice detail.
Rob.
I'm thinking of a "slapdash" paint job for the orks. Mainly with bits of red, yellow, and metallics showing through.
Very atmospheric Jonas.
I especially like the bare spars across the masts.
How strong is the fixing there?
Rob.
English knights, joined by Burgundian, Swiss, Irish, and Hebridean mercenaries to join up with a larger more or less Yorkist force. Also, a tree.

Rob, since they’re thin toothpicks they flex. Still I won’t test it.
I did add some sails though.

Even better Jonas.
I always worry about durability in my models as we take them to many shows, and young players are not always as careful in the handling as one would wish for.
Rob.
I do too, but the wrecks are mostly just handled by me.
If you want them to sit better you can always just tie the spars to the mast with some sewing thread and then superglue it. If they break the spar it's just more battle damage.
Looks good, but don't you have that sinking feeling?

Trying a new way to correct the fore staysails using Milliput.
What was wrong with your fore staysails Jonas?
Rob.
Ares decided that on wave 3 and 4 the wind should come from starboard at the stem and from larboard (port) at the stern. That combined with the masts getting the wind from aft makes me almost wish they had put the flag waving backwards.
I don't know how they can have made such a stupid mistake as they did it right on the first two waves of ships.
Ah yes!
So long ago I'd forgotten all about that, and having to swap to the correct Driver on several models.
Rob.
I finally stripped my gunked up Langton pivot gun schooner of the glue and primer, and am starting over. Pics when I get some paint on it.
 Looks as if that ship needs a complete refit to me Jason.
Rob.
Excuse me Admiral, but we usually don’t call a brig a ship... :takecover:
This may seem like I get a lot done, but I don’t...
Attachment 46254
Ready for rigging.
I stand corrected Captain. A slip of the Bowline I'm afraid. I was under the impression that a Brig was a ship.
Bligh.
Awesome shipwreck, Jonas.
Nice schooner project, Jason!
Thank you, Sven.
I’m working on several ships at once.

The ships that got the spankers from the merchants.
First one more or less finished.

Another splendid bit of innovation sir. Bravo!
Rob.
You may remember this:
"And pray, what in sea-language is meant by a ship?"
"She must have three square rigged masts, sir", they told him kindly, "...and a bowsprit ...and the masts must be in three, lower, top and top-gallant, for we never call a polarka a ship."
"Don't you though?" said Stephen.
"Oh no sir!" they cried earnestly, "nor a cat, nor a xebec, for although you may think xebecs have a bowsprit, it is really only a sort of wooden boomkin."
"I shall take particulate notice of that." said Stephen.
Great idea, Ferrante.
It's in the Aubreyad. I recently heard it called that and think it's funny.
Of course! Stephen Maturin.
Rob.
Today I am with some 2 mm and 3 mm Napoleonic miniatures .
Some cannons based on Spaniard military uniforms
Attachment 46349
Now that is working on a small scale Ferrante. I think that would tax even my abilities with a paint brush hair.
