I downloaded a copy of the sheet and opened it in Excel. I then resaved it unprotected and it appears to work. Ill send you the copy if i can and you could reupload that file.
send me your email and ill send you the file, or download it and open it in Excel and resave -> reupload.
-
I just did the same and got a copy off in Excel O.K.
I can now keep my own results.
Thanks Hugh.
-
Could someone pass on the link, thanks.
-
They are at the top of the campaign rules sticky thread
-
I looked at the sheet almost for the first time and didn't understand much.
It said who had edited it last at least. I think he should be able to unlock it. I'm guessing he just have a concurrency lock stopping two people from editing at the same time, but when he closed the document it didn't release the lock. I would guess if he opened it and closed it the lock should be gone.

the google table shows you when you last opened it.
So I checked it just before and I can edit the table.
Maybe its important what you choose: "anybody owner"? (in german: beliebiger Eigentümer)
Attachment 23161
The owner is still Neil as you can see in the screenshot
I was also able to make a copy of it. But don't know how to administrate google sheets...

now I found the rights area. But I cannot change anything there because only the owner can.
Attachment 23165
owner:
Neil (Union Jack)
edit rights:
Jonas (TexaS)
Matthias (spiessbuerger)
read only:
all others

I can't even access that bit Matthias, as I'm locked out for editing!
-
If you pm me your emIl Neil I'll email the file to you and you can just reupload it?
-
I've just changed my password but on checking I have no spreadsheets linked to me. I might still be down as the owner but I cant access sod all as the sheet is no longer linked to me as the owner.
Off to bed and ................................................
-
Yep, son changed my password access as swmbo was having problems getting on her own account which I was piggybacking. I now have my own account and login.
So hey ho...life goes on. I now have 4 first rates and 12 3rd rates with a brace of frigates patroling the access lane to the computer! (and a minefield...beware).
-
Neil, is there anything I can do to allow you access to the sheets? Perhaps I can reupload them and add you?
-
No need it's all sorted and I have full access again.
Cheers anyway for all the offers of assistance etc.
-
-
Glad to hear all is sorted out now Neil.
I am now all set up for the upcoming June mission, and looking forward to it.
Rob.

Once again I'm running late; sorry about that chaps. I've booked the dining table for this Friday night and have a live opponent to test me. May AAR to follow ASAP.
-
MIA this week as I'm heading off for a funeral in Chesterfield. Hope to catch up with things next week though.

It's been hectic for me too, spring usually is, but I hope to play May before July at least.
-
I hav just finessed school for the semester, you'd think I'd have plenty of spare time wouldn't you. I seem to have collected a huge pile of chores and repairs around the house that I've been putting off for six months....
-
In just less than two weeks I will go biking in my annual 300 km bike race. I started out this season worse than usual after the time in a cast this winter. I spent a lot of time being lazy at home that I pay for now.
-
I do wish you well on your race Jonas.
I only wish that I still had the stamina to embark on such a jaunt. Unfortunately all these years at sea have taken their toll with scurvy, plague and rheumatic fever leaving me a mere shell of the young Lieutenant that I once was. All the privations of weeks in an open boat in the Pacific did not help either!
I guess it's time for another G&T me hearty.
Bligh.
-
It's all my walking up and down the quarterdeck that keeps me in trim and it's not a great sight to see this almost 50 years old fat master & commander bike around a lake in about 15 hours.
I'll keep to the fresh strawberries, banana and yogurt smoothie for two weeks more... :envy:

OK chaps. The work load has increased on the 'Drome site. Thats said the campaigns are running themselves, you all have a handle on whats going on. Can I ask you to admin your own fleets and shjips for the time being. I can catch up (if you want me too) later on in the year.
Apologies for this, I'm not ducking out but time is running out to do everything I want to. Like rig all my ships, re-mast the 8-10 ships that need masts replaced, play the missions as I am behind, paint scenery, paint planes, play 'Drome missions etc etc etc oh and have a life. Luckily I have no major show commitments until August so I have a couple of months to get on top of all my 'Drome and Sails admin.
Happy sailing and keep the AAr's missions coming.
-
Thanks for all you have done Neil.
I hope we come up to your high standard of organization, but if a few mistakes creep in I'm sure everyone will still enjoy the second half of the year.
Rob.
-
I will keep popping back across and sailing the missions. Hopefully the spare missions someone will take on so we have everything covered and catered for.

I can fill in for the October "Letters of Marque" if there are no other takers Neil.

Cheers Neil.
I think I have an interesting Challenge for you all.

At present there are a small group of individuals who are keeping things ticking over on the anchorage. In this thread (2016 Solo) we are doing our best to generate interest amongst others and hopefully spread the word. I hope that all things being equal that we can maintain this thread and others in years to come so the site might grow and develope further.
I'm still around but not as much as I would like to.
-
On the strength of your remarks here Neil, I would suggest that we make scoring the results optional, as some shipmates might find the maths a bit of a chore, and drop out. Just finding time to play the mission and do the write up may be enough for most. I found the writing a crit of each game like that the first year we did Wings Solos. It was just a bit too much work.
The game is the interesting part, and as such we must encourage participation in that.

Been a tad busy past couple of weeks, will post the July scenario for Solo this weekend
-
I will await the scenario with Baited breath Chris.
Rob.
-
It's been a bit quiet this month in the campaign. Is everyone busy? I know I keep planning a day to get the game in and then something else comes up.
-
Mine are up to date Hugh, and I'm waiting for the next brief which Chris is posting this weekend.

Has anyone tried to access the charts to do repairs to ships. I want to purchase in one of my captured Spanish 74s. I have thrown for enemy ships in the next game and got 4 3rd rates against my maximum Fleet of One First rate and one third. The rest are Frigates. With crew depletion due to the pox, this is a no win situation without at least one more 74.
I can't add prize money or complete mt repairs. I have no access to the charts.
Rob.
-
I'll see what I can do with the charts tonight.
-
Thanks Neil.
Sorry to be a pest.
Is it alright if I retain one of my prize 74s and refit it from the prize money taken for other captured ships?
Rob.

Weel I've tried my google account, smbo google account, I can view but can't log in. My son has not changed anything at all , this time. So if anyone has a copy could they repost it under their account and open it for everyone so all can amend or not as it suits them.
Cheers in advance.
-
Guess we just cross posted there Neil.
I am quite happy to just play the game without the chart if it is causing a lot of bother.

It is at present. I know my facebook account was hacked again so don't know if this has crossed over to Google. I'm also having difficulties getting onto some of my Yahoo groups too.
