I am unaware of how that medal is granted Jonas. As a master and Commander yourself, you are senior enough to approach the Royal Hajj about this and ask him if you may put up your choices for award.

Am I to understand that you have to draw attention to yourself if you think you qualify? I want a shiny! I've been loitering here three years. Do I qualify?
Methinks that if you touted for this particular gong you would get a dusty answer Dobbs. If some member of standing in the community put you forward it would be considered. There are many medals where the criteria are straightforward and I can just check the records and award them.
Others like the Midshipman medal need Keith's blessing. however, always feel free to ask me. If you don't ask you don't get, unless I just happen to notice when I am doing something else.
Rob.
I will not bother the royal shark (haj in Swedish) in his time of troubles.
I will on the other hand suggest that Dobbs was applying for the “one year of service and 500 posts” medal...
Thanks, Jonas.
I saw the three years, and overlooked the 1 in front of the 5 for the number of posts!
Thanks to an observation made by Cmmdre and now being able to access the Admin again it gives me great pleasure to announce the award of the three years service and 1500 posts to Dobbs.:medal:
Well done sir.:salute:
Bligh.
Aaww, thanks Admiral! But isn't it supposed to be the lesser 1 year and 500? Not that I'm complaining, just didn't want more than was appropriate.
Congratulations on your medal, Dobbs! :medal::clap:
You are correct Dobbs dear chap. I will amend the matter.
Bligh.
Thank you, gentlemen, for the congratulations.
Congrats, Dobbs !
Congratulations on finally receiving your well deserved recognition.
:hatsoff:Congratulations to Dobbs again on securing his 100 Rep points medal.:medal:

:hatsoff:Dan-sam picks up his European GM Medal for the game at Prague-con.:medal:
Well done Daniel.
It is hi time we got a dedicated medal for Prague similar to those awarded on the Drome.
Rob.:drinks:
Then perhaps GothCon and LinCon should get their own too?
I quite agree Jonas. At present all you chaps have is Minor Con Europe. Each country should have one Major con medal of its own.
If I were you I would raise the issue with Keith. We need a new medal designer who can take some of the strain off Eric and Ling.
Rob.
I also wonder what makes a con minor or major.
GothCon this year had 2500 people and the national tv were broadcasting live from there.
Numbers plus the fact that it was more than one day was the criteria for a Major Con Jonas.
With the demise of Sheffield Triples we only really do one Major in the UK now and that is the World championships.
Rob.
:hatsoff:And also today Captain Duff gains his first medal for Book reviews.:medal: Well done Chris.
:salute:Bligh.
Well... GothCon is four days and LinCon is officially four but starts inofficially the evening Before. LinCon usually have 1500 people.
Some friends serve free tea at them both and the records stand at well over one ton of tea at GothCon and over one and a half ton at LinCon.
Congratulations Chris! :salute:
Well deserved!
 thanks, you will enjoy working on your Santisima Jonas
Does Historicon have its own medal for Sails as it does on the Wings site?
Congratulations, Dan-sam, on your Prague con medal and also to you, Chris, on your book review medal. :hatsoff:
LinCon is in my home town and I most definately put on most games there, even though I do both. I usually just have one to help me out and he's not on here. LinCon is longer, but GothCon has more participants. I'd like to say LinCon mostly because I'm biased. And there's a LinCon in may.
Right Jonas, make your case out and submit it to Keith.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
It took me from 2014 till 17 to get medals for Doncaster up and running. No ones fault just other stuff getting in the way for several people involved in the production of the final product.
Rob.
Congrats to Chris and Dan-Sam on your medals!
Bill
:hatsoff: Looks like I will be buying the drinks in the Wardroom tonight on account of Wentworth elevating me to the 500th rep point. :medal: May I thank all those shipmates, some of whom are no longer with us, who have made this possible.:salute:
My felicitations to you all gentlemen.:drinks:
Yr obdt svt. Wm Bligh.
Congrats on your accomplishment, Rob. Having just checked the medal thread I see you are the only person with that award. I would have thought Julian and Jonas would also be up there?
On another note why haven't those in charge of the medal program instituted medals for 4 years of service and a comparable number of posts? Same goes for 5, 6, 7, etc?
Congratulations Rob. :drinks:
Strange to say but I have a little list. However, with Eric and his good lady having a lot on at present things in the area of designing new medals are at a bit of a standstill.
Rob.
Congrats! No one deserves the rcognition more.
Wentworth
Very well done Rob!
Well deserved!
:hatsoff:Today Bill (Wentworth) receives his very first Medal. :medal:It is my pleasure to announce his 50 points Reputation Gong.:salute:
