  • Fort moultrie.

Starting a new project today with a new fort on a headland ideal for the War of 1812.

Working up ideas for the layout.

    The final layout.

Cutting out, and fitting to existing coastline.

The next stage in the process is Routing out the covered way,

Then the final fitting of the fort before taking it off to paint.

Next a coat of watered down PVA to seal the surface ready for undercoating.

Leave overnight to dry and then undercoat the next day.

I have given the surface an undercoat of brown earth colour and then a coat of matte varnish to seal
    the whole surface.

The next stage is tidying up the cliff faces and painting them plus any light parts of the hillside.

    Cliffs shaded.

    Painting on the Fort started.

More shading on the Fort, and fitting the bridge across the covered way.

A bit of glue for the fort, a flag mast and we are complete.

    At Sea Again

The voyage is over and after 7 weeks we're back at our land home. We covered somewhere between 750 to 1000 miles and got in some mighty fine sailing.

    Disassembling Ares Ships

Ultimately, I chose brute force over chemistry. With precision cuts, the masts were successfully extracted.

    Fortifications

I treat the firepower like a ship each side has the same and it falls with the attrition.
For explosion, that is the magazine and the fort ceases

    Fortifications

What I meant was, what happens when a fort's magazine explodes? How is the damage generated?

I see your slots now. Do you divide the firepower
