  • Wave 2 Mast Repair

When I opened my ships yesterday only one had the dreaded Formast rot.
    Here it is.

Here also is my five minute repair method using paper clip and Super Glue.

Take a needle file and file the mast flat and square.

Using a fine No.78 drill or similar and Pin vice make a pilot hole in the center of the mast.

Repeat for the stub in the deck.

Then open both holes up to drill size 66.

Super glue in a paper clip to the mast section.

    Trim to length.

Add glue and slip into the Deck stub ensuring squareness in all planes.

    Job done.

    Rob.

I seem to remember Long John Silver was a great fan of having a Parley with his opponents to talk the into making a deal.

I am certainly going to give my amazons that tweak. As I read it in many authoritative journals the French Frigates were light fast and sleek, whilst

Thanks for the insights into the AI, guys.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, to even things out with the Amazons, I have increased their Burden

Cheers! Yes, I always think Burden is under costed, as it really makes ships more survivable in a fire-fight, especially at long range. At shorter range,

Yes, Phil still has trouble remembering the rules at times and is not confident moving in relation to the wind, that is where the AI is a good opponent,
