Now watch as an entire school of Conspiracy Whackjobs appears saying "There's no way a shot from that angle could have killed him!".

Hey, if we Americans have to put up with that s***.... >;)

"This article was amended on 28 March 2013..... The original also referred to the English fleet and English history. This has been corrected."

At the end of the article was the quote above, even the Guardian gets confused between English and British, what has happened to the UK education system?

When you read the account by Mr. Beatty or as it's described in Seize the Fire you have little doubt of how a random shot would take his life...or how long of agony it put him through. I would be honored for a chance to see that in person.

What a dreadful way to slowly expire.

It's like the difference of being a Texan and an American(I think you have made mention of this before Eric).

Has anyone told the coat that the war is over and Bluecher already captured Paris in 1814...

I've known enough Texans, and even spent some time there, to understand EXACTLY where you're coming from. A good friend of mine, who used to, shall we say...be amused by the Texan point of view, recently was relocated there for work. I'm waiting to see how many years he can hold out.

If any of you have watched the BBC series "The Queen's Palaces" you get to view the musketball that killed Nelson. It's kept at Windsor Castle.

Skip to 13:44 if you just wish to view that segment.

I took (and COMPLETELY enjoyed) the tour of The Tower of London, grizzly details and all. The museums and tour were terrific. It's a bit easier to appreciate things like that when a lot of years separate you.
