So, I've been trying to come up with some assessments about how much mileage Andrea can get out of each sculpt, and found a few possible candidates to re-use Victory. Thinking being, if we only get "HMS Victory 1805 Trafalgar Side A/HMS Victory 1765 Commissioning" that's not a lot of reason to buy a second mini, BUT if we can get a near-sister on the B-side that's both a reason to buy another copy AND a future re-use for the sculpt.
Technical guys, here are the candidates--any I should strike? Not so technicals, which of these would get you most excited about "ooh, I GOTTA have that!"?
1745 Establishment 100-gun: (supposedly construction was started from the draughts for Royal George)
- 1756-1782 Royal George (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Royal_George_%281756%29)
- 1762-1825 Britannia/1810 Princess Royal/1812 St. George/1819 Barfleur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Britannia_%281762%29)
1810 Boyne 98-gun: (which IF I'm reading descriptions right were basically "build another Victory but leve off two guns")
- 1810-61 Boyne/1834 Excellent (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Boyne_%281810%29)
- 1811-33 Union (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Union_%281811%29)
1810 Impregnable-line 98/100/104 (later 110; rating depends on date):
- 1810-1906 Impregnable (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Impregnable_%281810%29)
- 1820 Trafalgar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Trafalgar_%281820%29)
I know the two late-1820s Princess Charlottes are in this line too, but they're clearly "after the game" and even HMS Trafalgar is borderline.
So, what say ye, lads and ladies?
