Guys, I'm doing some research compiling a list of Orders of Battle with an eye toward reenactment with SoG.

So, with regard to the following conflicts:
-American Revolution
-French Revolutionary Wars
-War of 1812
-Napoleonic Wars

which particular engagements in each would you consider an "If you don't know these you FLUNKED LUNCH" core-curriculum to build around? Trafalgar is a given, and any advice you guys care to pitch to help guide my studies would be appreciated, but I should warn up front that they can't ALL be "must haves". Also, while I understand the Lakes battles were important, I'm trying to confine this to ocean or coastal battles where there's a higher probability of reusable sculpts. :)

Edit to add "decided" roster...
AMERICAN REVOLUTION
-First Battle of Ushant 27/07/1779
-Battle of the Chesapeake 5/09/1781

FRENCH REVOLUTIONARY WARS
-Third Battle of Ushant/Glorious 1st of June 1/06/1794
-Cape St Vincent 14/02/1797
-Nile Aug 1798
-Copenhagen April 1801

NAPOLEONIC WARS
-Trafalgar
-Lissa March 1811

WAR OF 1812
-USS Constitution vs. HMS Guerriere
-USS Constitution vs. HMS Java
-USS United States vs. HMS Macedonian
-Battle of Lake Erie
-Naval Battle of Plattsburg

Glorious 1st of June 1/06/1794
Cape St Vincent 14/02/1797
Nile Aug 1798
Copenhagen April 1801
Lissa March 1811

are a couple to get you started :)

Some of these are incredibly one sided. I've left the 1812 US-British tiff to others more versed in that conflict.

For the War of 1812, three early duels impacted American and British morale and thinking about the nature of naval warfare between the two opposing forces at that time:
USS Constitution vs. HMS Guerriere
USS Constitution vs. HMS Java
USS United States vs. HMS Macedonian

For strategic and other reasons:
The Battle of Lake Erie

Battle of The Chesapeake/Capes - This is where the French Fleet held back the British and helped compel Cornwallis's surrender. So, it was pretty important (maybe not as exciting for gunnery, but decent maneuver). Also, it was pretty evenly matched (80%ships, 90%guns) compared to some other battles.
