The latest off my workbench is a 24 gun frigate from Langton. I haven't put an ensign on her yet since I don't know who's side she is on.

Fantastic job! I don't know how you paint such small details so well, particularly on a something as small as a 24-gun frigate!
Vol, you really do beautiful work. The penny comparison puts things into perspective.

Very nice indeed! I really like the coloring on the sails.

Thank you Gentlemen. This was actually my first brass sail set from Langton. The sail set came with a small merchant, but I wanted full studding sails for the merchant. Somehow I ended up with the 24 gun hull without sails, so I used the set you see. A little more fiddly than the white metal sail sets, but I like the way they look. As for the paint job, Langton details are so crisp it makes it much easier to get a decent result. You talk about small, I ordered some 2MM Napoleonic troops, wagons, limbers, etc. to man the forts, ports, shore and floating batteries. Holy cow! I can hardly see them with glasses and my huge magnifier.
I agree with the Royal Hajj, beautiful weathering job on the sails.
