1806 - HMS Dedaigneuse (36), Captain William Beauchamp Proctor, engaged the French frigate Semillante off Mauritius. Semillante hauled off and escaped. Dedaigneuse was a former French frigate, captured in 1801 and bought into the Royal Navy
