Here are pictures of some of my 1/1200 scale ships after putting on the Langton ratlines. I've used GHQ hulls almost exclusively and have used a mixture of GHQ masts/sails and Langton masts and sail sets. I like the combination of a GHQ hull and Langton sails best.

Here are some different sail types (GHQ, Langton, etched brass)

Here is a comparison of GHQ and Langton hulls. The GHQ hull is the Santissima Trinidad and the Langton is a Spanish 112 gun SOL. I think the Langton hulls are comparatively a bit bigger than GHQ.

These are all GHQ hulls

Here are some views to show the ratlines. I think these add a lot to the figure and they were easier to put on than I thought they'd be.

I'm looking forward to using these again someday. Thanks for looking.

David, those look really good! I had ordered a couple of Langton and GHQ ships and sails to compare back when the game was going to use this scale. I came to the same conclusion as you... GHQ hulls and Langton sails ftw.

And the ratlines really do add a lot to them.

Fantastic jobs! You have far more talent and patience than I'll ever have.

Excellent work. The best I've seen. Glad you didn't muddy up the sails. Look more striking clean, or with just a light touch of weathering.

Wonderful ships of the line, David!

I think it will not be a problem to combine them with the upcoming SoG ship- and maneuvering-card.

Very nice work; I assume that the ratlines are part of the Langton sail line.

Nice work.

One request: Next time, post links, or something -- I'm on broadband, and it took six minutes for all those pics to finish loading.

Yes I see it, I see it! Uh, looks like they're not on the water. Different kind of sailing I guess.

So you can see the one I posted, but not the ones in the first post?

Right. I don't know why. If they are .jpg photos I should be able to. Maybe it depends if they were uploaded from a computer or are an url from the web. I just don't know enough to troubleshoot.
