We've had Wings of Glory and are expecting Sails of Glory. Will the more modern sea battles be BOG - Battleships of Glory??
Just a thought...

Wog, Sog , and Bog sounds like a trio of sailors 3 sheets to the wind lol lol
Andrea wrote about it on Aerodrome - there is a problem in tactics, because modern navy battles are not based on manouvres like in Napoleonic era or like WWI and WWII dogfigths. It would be only about ability to accurately aim the guns (same as moderna dogfigth which are only about rockets).
Does anyone play A&A navy miniatures?

Guys, lets try and get in the practice of using the official abriviations of the games... WGF or WGS and SGN. It will be less confusing for those coming to the site later that only know it as the official ones and it will also help the site in search engine results when people search for the game.
Thanks,
The Royal

Might need to get the Cat O' Nine tails out, and have some of the crew kiss the gunners daughter.

Ah Yes! Don't you usually pay extra for the Floggings Ken?
Saw you thread. I have the Axis & Allies WAS ships. Once suggested they do a WWI game. You could use the old Avalon Hill Jutland rules to play with them. I have to pull out my Wooden Ships & Iron Men and see how SGN ships can be applied to the rules.

I think it's only when they use the SOFT leather whips; and are wearing thigh boots ;)

I love the idea of the matelots struggling to elevate the cannons high enough to even hope to hit a plane! I bet the rules for ship vs aircraft combat would be worth seeing!!:D:D:D

We were sinking Japanese ships with sails in WWII.

Hook the mast with a wingtip, and pull the ship over. :)

Or, use balloon rockets.
