Just saw this after following some links posted on The Miniatures Page. Apparently there has been some upgrading going on with 3Decks and they've published their first book? Having been a tad inactive for some months this may be old news to some?

Full Title: Royal Navy Officers of the Seven Years War, A Biographical Dictionary of Commissioned Officers 1748-1763.

Three Decks is an excellent resource. I have used it for checking on my facts when there is a contridiction between my main sources in the ships histories that I am writing up in the history Forum.

ThreeDecks is my "Plan B" when Winfield or Silverstone doesn't give sufficient info.

This looks very interesting Jim as I have just been reading the Carlisle and Holbrooke novels by Chris Durbin set in this period. It may help to fill in some background for me.

Excellent! I was a bit surprised to see that 3Decks had gotten into publishing.

Paul Silverstone's "The Sailing Navy" and its companion volumes from Routledge, probably as close to an "American Warships in the Age of Sail" as we'll ever see.

BTW, Cy at ThreeDecks tells me that last he knew the Spanish volume is still in development, just "on pause" until the facilities holding primary-source materials reopen for business.

Here is hoping then that they open soon, Spanish info would be very useful

That would certainly clear up a lot of outstanding questions Chris.
