I am still collecting and noticed that 3 of my miniatures are ex Indiamen.
Has anyone got any stats for them in merchant life please:question:

My pleasure. Just send me the details you want on the ship cards . The deck you will use and ship names you require, flag they will fly and I can knock you out a set for each ship.

Pretty much other than Bonhomme Richard, all the French ships retained their merchant names. You're looking for ships in about the 900-ton weight class, could maybe pass for as big as 1100 or 1200--for French, I suggest looking for late 1750s to early 1760s builds, particularly those designed or built by Antoine Groignard.

Further narrowing, look for ships in the 50- to 64-gun range. Start here, select France as nation and Compagnie des Indes as operator, I used cutoff dates of 1750 to 1769. Not all of these are stretches I would endorse to Ares for official use--in fact most I would NOT since I'm a "Show Me the Blueprints" sort--but all are of similar size, role, configuration, time and design philosophy to the Groignard 900-tonners Bonhomme Richard was rebuilt from. (Our sculpt is ONLY BHR; to turn her back into an EIM you need to chop the first 12 scale feet or so IIRC off the quarterdeck and splice an extension in at the base of the mizzenmast.) Some like Massaic are mislisted as flutes, so check those too.
