I've at last taken the plunge into 3D printing ships for SOG, havinf always been a bit worried as to how the sails would come out. Here's Indefatigable and Anson, models available from Wargaming3D by Simon Mann https://www.wargaming3d.com/product/razee-44-gun-frigate/

My worries over the sails are allayed (even if they are a pain to align so the print well, and you still need to add lower masts from wire).

I'm still not entirely satisfied, the bowsprit and jibs come as separate pieces, in future I'd like to combine them in a single print piece to get the arrangement better than I achieved here. Working on some small craft now.

They look just fine to me Dave.
I prefer lower masts from wire anyway Dave.
I take it that yours are 1200 scale then and don't need fiddling with?
Rob.

Its printed at 1/1000. The models are constructed at 1/700 but they print out just about OK at the smaller scale

That is superb Dave.
Now all I need is a printer :moneygone: and learn how to use it again.
The only three D printing course I went on was about 20 years ago. It was a five day one, and after doing it I never did any actual printing because my Tech Assistant did it all for me. as I was just too busy running the Department, and sorting things out for my replacement, as I was about to retire. So I never found the time to play.

Nice! Now I wont be alone, having an Indy!

I would love to put my Indy next to them to see how much off mine is.

I see they added the railing on the poop deck. I wanted to do that but thought it was too thin to be made in any practical way. 3D printed was apparently the way to go.
