Milwaukee players?

Anybody here in the Milwaukee area? I've been playing semi-regular games with a couple of folks and have at least one more interested. It might be possible to get a regular game going at a game store if there's enough interest.

Hi Jason

I'm in Milwaukee and I just started getting back into Sails. I game on Saturdays at my house from 1pm until 10pm. I have two other players that I just started teaching the game. I also have a group of 5 players that I have not taught yet.

What day/days do you game and where? I would possibly be interested in getting together with your group for some Sails action. It has been about 5 years since I have played and the 2 games we just played we did alot of things wrong.

I don't have anything regular going, I really just play with a friend occasionally at their place on a weekend evening. I live in Wauwatosa, but I don't mind traveling across town.

It's a pity that so many shipmates are far flung and do not have a local group.

We played a 3 on 3 Saturday with each player having 1 ship each. 3 of the players have never played and 2 players have only played twice. We had one side use two 5th rate and one 4th rate and same for the other side. It took us about 3 hours to play including rules explanation. I used standard rules with partial advanced rules thrown in.

Overall it went pretty good with two of the players really enjoying it, one player liking it, one player was ok with it and one player not liking it (my honey). I think I will try it again next Saturday to see how much they retained.
