I had a spare (and damaged) SJN so I thought I’d have a go at making wrecks. The sails are tiny pieces of lead foil, rigging is stretched sprue and the sea ‘foam’ is tamiya putty. The clear bases are Walthers HO building windows4182341824
Hello Steve
A typical case of recycling! ;)
Unfortunately, I have a lack of damaged ships.

I added some more detail and decided to paint the bases. Sent a text to my buddy telling him I had some new ships for him to use, then I sent the photo......41851

If you search utube for sinking HMS Implacable you will find a few showing the sinking of this two decker, captured at Trafalgar, in 1949.
Will show scenes of her going down which may help modelling wrecks

Thanks for that info Chris, I had no idea Duguay-Trouin was still in existance the year I was born (1949) sad to watch it sinking, though it was in very bad shape and the country was in no position to spend vast amounts of money on refurbishments. ( I had a ration book when I was an infant).
