View Full Version : guns and reload
hello
I made 2 or 3 games and during these games we sometimes forget if the guns reload or not so I use some "markers" (? ) instead of using "pions"
guns are firing

Hi Fox.
I do the same with the smoke markers from the Anchorage Store.
I paint the unmarked side with a wash of swirling grey smoke and turn them over on to this for a move after they have fired. It works very well for the big battles with lots to remember.
Rob.
I also use the Anchorage smoke markers. We leave them where the ship fired as the ship moves on, and remove them when the ship is reloaded.

Fox, fantastic idea! I had a similar idea floating around in my head using Q-tip heads as the smoke plumes! Your “fire” markers look like a similar idea to my “flame” markers for Wings. Very nicely done!
What did you use for your fire Fox.
Rob.
I'm using this (don't know the name in english) .You can find them in Art and craft store or Toy's store I think.
It's a wire with sort of "wool" on it.

First I cut them and twist it

After I paint them

Really easy and fast
AH! Pipe cleaners Fox.
Thanks.

Fantastico! I have been studying images and videos of cannon firing to see how best to replicate this on such a small scale. I think you have done a great job here Fox! Rep coming at you!

Nice idea.
I prefer a strict management of the ship logs.
If it gets too complicated I use a chart and mark which ship fired in which turn.
Of course, I use the AA smoke markers too, but only to signal: This ship fires the broadside.:cannonboom::cannonboom:
