Very picturesque Fox.
I'm sure that will add a bit of extra interest to some of your games.
Rob.
Very nice!
Are the X:s markings of where to find the treasure?
Do you know Jonas, I never spotted the x's until you mentioned them.
I usually mark my treasure with a skeleton pointing the way to the rock under which it is buried.
Bligh.
Thank you guys
Hem...What you think that are X marking are in fact birds.... I suppose I didn't do them very well but on the table it works good

Very nice and the detail of the seagulls on the cliff is great!:beer:
They are very well done.
It's just that the forum scales down every photo so the resolution wasn't good enough for my old eyes to see them correctly.
In the new photos taken from other angles it's obviously birds!

Outstanding job, Fox! I like the birds especially. Did you make them?
Tank you all
The birds are made from small piece of mosquito net that you can put on the windows

Very nice island and the birds are spectacular. How you made credible seagulls from mosquito netting is a mystery however, one that needs explaining sir!:takecover:
You take mosquito net, paint it in white and cut it
Not good when you look to close with a camera but on a table game it' work's

Fox, It is a brilliant idea. I really like the detail of the seagulls. It is a detail that has been commented other times on but nobody has known how to do it, until now.
I foresee a plethora of birds accompanying our ships on voyages to far flung islands and harbours in the near future.

Very nice indeed Fox! They seem to hold up the bird image just fine with a close up photo. Thank you for showing us how it's done. :hatsoff:
:sly: My only criticism is not enough Guano on the rocks.:moneygone:
Rob.
Next one with a fort.( not to much guano on this one too:happy:)

:shock::shock: Very realistic! I like it
I can't fault it this time Fox. Who needs guano anyway!
Super island.
Rob.
Very impressive! I'm taking notes for my next island...
How do you do your water?
That looks awesome!
The seagulls, ... crazy :)
Do you have more details about your ship base on the upper image, I see waves there?
Thanks everybody
I made water with transparent layers of painting mixed with glossy acrylic gel.
After I paint the waves (sea foam?) in white matt.
The different layers gives you some depth.
I use this method sometimes for my 15mm vietnam too. It works pretty well.
