Since the Anchorage Accessories forum is not open for business yet...

One of the things we know will eventually be created is a custom range ruler. What should it look like?

I vote for sounding chains.

Other opinions?

A cannon swab, a boarding pike, or for those of a darker nature...a cat-o'nine-tails.

An extended Telescope. An easy shape to manufacture and the extension tubes could signify the ranges.

I like the telescope idea using the tubes, Rob. I'll vote for that.

Since one is measuring the range for gunfire it has to be a cannon :)

Or maybe a ruler with the appearance of the fire and smoke from a cannon blast.

Since it is a propeller for the planes I like COOG's idea of a cannon blast.

Whatever it is make it 20% longer for the new scale!

My votes on the telescope: very visual but not as (potentially) ambiguous as a blast of gunsmoke.

Maybe a telescope would be the best choice.

We need full range - half range and a quarter range for carronade fire!
