Is there any chance of any of us putting on a Sails game at the Worlds next weekend?

At the Derby Worlds on Saturday Hawkhurst and Deadly M snapped up the only Ares products available, a SoG Starter Set in the 'Bring and Buy' sale and two SoG game mats on a dealers stand at a reduced price. I see that Hawkhurst has already applied for Anchorage membership.

Good to have you alongside Andrew. It is a pity that you and DM missed my Sails game this afternoon. I will get pics up ASAP.
When is M going to dip her toes in the Briney and sign up for the Navy?

There you go Andy. That man never fails to come through.
Glad the super M is enjoying the game. Eileen took part in the one I put on yesterday. Pictures to follow soon.
Sorry I missed you both on Saturday, but Andy was taken ill so I missed my lift. He was a lot better by Sunday and came down for the morning session.
Hope to see you both in the New Year.
Rob.

Here are the photos from my game, loosely based on our Solo mission for September "Running the Gauntlet, in which a French supply convoy have to sneak along the coast and make it into port whilst harassed by the Royal Navy.

As further fire is exchanged between the ships, the shore batteries start to take a toll on the British squadron.

Some desperate maneuverings now takes place by both sides.

All is to no avail. Disaster strikes, as Admiral Gibbs blows up and sinks Speedwell Lass's Powder Brig.

The collateral damage, however seriously damages the nearest British ships and also the foremost French frigate.

As the Brig goes down, Admiral Gibbs, who learned his ship handling in the Raffer J Larwood school of sailing, runs his ship upon the rocks.

The foremost British frigate is forced to strike due to the explosion damage sustained and a final broadside from Embuscade.

This enables the damaged French Frigates to, slip past, and outrun the pursuing 74.

Safe in harbour the French Captains celebrate their close shave victory.
