Hello everyone,
I'm Alex, I stumbled upon this site quite by accident while digging into Spanish shipbuilding during the 18th century. I'm a fan of wooden ships and nautical history, both American and International. I don't really have time for gaming or modelling, but I'm always down for finding ship plans and information on the period. Pleasure to meet you all.

Hi James, welcome to the anchorage
On behalf of all the sailors on the Anchorage welcome James.
I am sure that you will find quite a lot on ships and plans here.
Both Diamond Back and Dave Manley are experts on the subject, and other shipmates such as Texas have a good knowledge as well.
Browse through the files and take as much as you need.
Good sailing to you and a fair wind.
Rob.

Welcome to the Anchorage, James or Alex. I must admit that I am a little confused because in the white panel on the left it states that your name is James and yet in your message you wrote that your name is Alex.

Well when it asks for your name, it doesn't exactly ask for the name you go by, only your first name. It certainly does make things confusing!
If it would make things easier for you, I can change the name in the ships records for you Alex.

That would be fine Bligh, so long as you don't blister my back.

A big welcome to the Anchorage!
Sorry it took so long to get around to this Alex.
Is that O.K. for you now.
