British forces liberate the Falkland Islands. Several of my friends and colleagues played key roles in this remarkable victory. Well done, chaps!

Here here.

Sadly the roots of the conflict still fester in Argentina despite the people of the Falklands almost universal desire to stay with GB. The political atmosphere in Argentina will never let this issue move off the agenda there.

I think, you're talking about officers, David.

As the Anglo-American War of 1812, there is not much literature about the Falkland War.

The only well known thing is the story about the Exocet Missile they fired against British Ships.

No, officers and ratings.

there is not much literature about the Falkland War.

There's loads of really good stuff out there. I'd recommend "100 Days" by Admiral Woodward (the task force commander), "Sea Harrier Over the Falklands" by Sharkey Ward (one of the Sea Harrier squadron leaders) and "The Royal Navy in the Falklands War" by David Brown (head of the Naval Historical Branch) for starters. There have been many personal accounts which are well worth reading, as well as the more "technical" official history and several books about specialist areas such as the STUFT ships and helicopter operations. If anyone is interested I can post a fuller list when I get home (currently en route to London from Charlottesville via Chicago)

I mean there is not much literature in German language.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
