Owners' Workshop Manual.

Here is a book I picked up at the Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.
It is packed with detailed information. Here are a couple of pages as examples.

You are right Dave. It explains all those little details which the writers of naval fiction tend to gloss over, and which I like to use to add a little extra to my AAR's.
The photos are very explanatory in themselves. the thing about one picture being worth a thousand words is very true in this book.

Thinking of buying one or making one Rob?

There again is there room in the garage and drive for such a First Rate ship of the line?

Victory was one of the first ships I worked on when I joined the MOD
