Rob.

It is alcohol. Does not damage the plastic, but it cleans the paint well.

Antiseptic alcohol 96ş. I buy it in the perfumery of a supermarket. I think at pharmacies also sell it but more expensive.

Sounds a lot more user friendly than Nitromors.

Great build so far Julian. Are those Langton 3-decker masts? Beautiful job scoring the deck planks. I envy your ability to keep the lines so straight.

Exactly, I have used from Langton 3D masts for the difference with the scale.

By the way, thank you for the rep.

A superb bit of work again Julián, but once more it raises a question.
If you have pre painted the masts, how do you get the sails to adhere strongly?

Rob.

Rob.

As you can see in the image that I attached, the brass sails have a little lashes to hug the mast.

These sails are much lighter than those of white metal. It is advisable to do the union of metal with metal and not metal with paint or paint with paint.

Thanks Julián. I have only ever used the pewter/ lead sails. These look far superior.
It just goes to show that one is never too old to learn a new trick or two.

Their thickness is very much better but the sacrifice is the double curved shape of filled sails.

You can bend them horizontally and vertically to get that filled sail look. I use a large marble to shape them over.
She really is looking superb Julian.

Indeed Rob, possibly a mistake in the design, does not make sense three lines of windows in a boat with two decks.

I just wish I could paint it as a balustrade.

You are really doing excellent work. I leave the British sterns as originals in my repaints as I don't think I can improve on them. You make an enormous difference showing how good they can look!

It has a cost in hand of hobra that a company type Ares can not assume. Too much risk.

It is possible, when I have played table games I have always thrown the dice inside a box on a chair just to avoid what you are saying. Regarding a clumsy move ... everything depends on the emphasis in the battle. When I see photos about tournaments I do not feel like players are moving the boats aggressively and nervous, maybe they put their best photos, hehehe

Still, thanks for comment.

Greatings Julian,

I may have missed this if you explained it before, but I have a simple question.
The base is lovely. Do you place the card with firing arcs over the sea base? Or do you remove the sea base and replace it with the firing arc card for a game?

Regards,
Vol

Hello Vol, I guess this card is also valid for Sail of Glory ships.

I add the link where I share how to do this type of bases.

I did not draw it. But can make a series of marks with a different types of blue. The idea is to try to make a base that does not have many color contrasts using shades of blue.
