The setup.

28491

Captain Duff awaits the doors opening.

28492

Game on.

The British battle line divides the French.

28493

Le Duff's reposte.

28494

"Manoeuvre De Derrière"

28495

The french Captains discuss their next move.

28496

Meanwhile the British save them the bother by running aboard each other.

28497

Still locked together with the French Closing for the kill.

28498

The victorious French Captain with her father.
The final English ship to strike.

28499

Well done the French.
Not an auspicious start for the English.

Game two.

Opening moves.

28500

This time the double shotted British strike first.

28501

And again with the opposite battery on the second Frenchman.
28502

An overview as the ships maneuver for position.

28503

Now a bow rake from the British.

28504

Closing in on the last Frenchman.

28505

Looks like the end for the Frenchman.

28506

He dexterously slips out of our trap.

28507

But is remorsefully hunted down by the British Frigates.

28508

Finally the Pincer movement takes him out.

28509

A win for the British.

One all.

The Afternoon session.

Game three.

Refreshed after vitals and Grog.

28512

This time the British try for a quick result by
bottling up the French ships.

28513

Closing in the ships jockey for advantage.

28510

The French break out, and one rams the British flagship.

28511

This sparks off a general action.

28514

After Fire and counter fire one French ship Strikes.

28515

The remaining French 74 now takes the initiative and cutting the British line stern rakes one ship and sinks it.

28516

The two remaining ships close and fire from the British forrard battery finishes the action.

28517

Two one to the Brits.

Game four.

One of our Canadian cousins joined me for the final game.
He had been on the French side in the morning session so no favoritism to anyone shown to any of his countrymen.

28518

The encounter gets underway with a British double shotted forward salvo.

28519

The battle then intensifies as ships destroy each other.

28520

My late arrival on the scene means that I find myself alone and up against the two remaining French ships and downwind.

28521

Somehow managing to hoodwink the captains I slip past and gain the wind.
This was the bow rake which finished my compatriot.

28522

I got in a similar shot to destroy one of the two French ships.

As time was fast running out, and I had only lost two Crew boxes with no hull damage, and Simon had two hull boxes and no crew damage, we decided to call an honourable draw and both ships withdrew.

A fitting end to an exciting days play with the final scores two one to the British and one draw, although both British wins were with but a single box left, so a very fine run thing indeed.

I have now tried Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge on two different computers with the same null result. However I have looked at the photographs in your album, rob, and they are good.

Nice offer, unfortunatley the German section is too small and SoG fair activities not existent.
