Hello , my name is David , a Yorkshire man now living 'down South'.
I'm not 'nautical' at all really - unless you count having been a passenger on a cross channel ferry or participating on a barge trip on the Leeds/Liverpool canal ...
However , as the great Donald Featherstone said about the draw of naval wargaming - ' the feeling of commanding a ship of war holds the greatest attraction , to emulate Hornblower in a 40 gun frigate bearing down before the wind etc ...
So , I'm glad to be aboard and part of the crew.
