Well the day went well.
Two tables and for once a good bit of interest in Sails.
Here are some pics from game one.

Frigate action.

The ships leave port.
24955

I get a bit of bother, but look at the 0's
24956

Chris and Simon get real pally.
24957

Whilst I take on the other Rosbief.
24958

Chris and Simon locked in a deathly embrace.
24959

The British Captains confer.
24960

By the time I come to Chris's help he has disappeared beneath the waves, and all I get is a hammering.
24961

Two to one! Time for me to leg it.
24962

The edge of the world seems far away.
24963

Maybe I'll have one more sneaky pop at the English.
24964

That caught you out.

24965

Now it really is time to cut and run.
24966

A win for the Royal Navy.

Rob.

Game 2.

Chris inducting some more intrepid Captains.

24972

General action.
24973

Close up and personal again.
24974

One of the French Captains looks concerned.
24975

No worries Chris and The enemy are locked in hand to hand.
24976

Meanwhile the other Frigates trade blows.
24977

Chris sinks his British enemy.
24978

The young french Captain now goes for a sail on his own.
24979

Leaving the second British ship to get to grips with Chris and his mauled ship.
24980

It was only ever going one way.
24981

The British win again.
24982

The Victorious surviving British Captain.
24983

Two nil to the Brits.

Game three.

Simon's Pirates vs the Royal Navy.

The approach.

24984

The Black Pearl.
24985

My antagonist, The Queen Anne's Revenge, rakes me with her first Double shotted broadside as I pass.
We both turn in opposite directions.
24987

Meanwhile, the Black Pearl has not even yet reached her opponent.
24986

As we continue to turn I am raked by her other Double shotted Broadside.
They think it's all over?

24988

It is now!
24989

Three cards into the action after first contact with the Revenge.
A broken man, I did not have the heart to watch the outcome of the battle,
but retired with a G&T to comfort me to the other table to shoot down some Germans with my Spitfire.

A win for the Pirates.

Thanks Sven.
I wonder why Hugh could not see them though.
Dave had the same problem the other day.

What mode of viewing are you using Richard?

Zeiss?
25008

Dolland?
25009

I recommend this one in conjunction with the bottle.
Then you will see whatever you want to.

Well I'll be jiggered.
All the way from Northumberland to Nottingham.
That must be some superior objective glass you have there sir.
Maybe you just did not have it focused properly the first time.

They must be just over our horizon at sea . . .

My techie suggests that it may be a band width problem with your server.
If you are trying to access it during peak times.
Or it could be this hosting server not allotting enough band width.
The now you see it now you don't would suggest that this is the most likely scenario.

I haven't been able to see them since you posted either. This is not the first time, though. Some folks have posted pictures before, and it came through as just text.

That would tend to indicate a fault with the host server then.
It may be worth your while dropping the Oberst a PM and seeing if he can work out what is making them drop out.

I think it has something to to with the individual computer settings.

At home I have no problem to see them.

It was just the now you see it now you don't that made me think that it may be an external problem Sven.
You may well be correct, but without a lot more detailed info it is hard to do a remote diagnostic for which I am not equipped anyway.
