Hello, just need a clarification on these rules please.
How do you add up the first broadside, along with double shotting?
For my example, I use a French 1st rater with a broadside of 7
Do you:
Option A: add one marker for each three, rounded up; which would be 10, then add the double shotting of 10a's +10b's, which would be a grand total of 10 a markers and 10 b markers = 20
Option B: add one marker for each three, rounded up which would be 10, then add the double shotting of 7a and 7 b markers, which would be a grand total of 10 a markers and 14 b markers = 24
Option C: do the double shotting of 7a markers + 7b markers, then do the first broadside with an extra three added, which would be a grand total of 7a markers and 10b markers = 17
Or is there another way of doing this I have not thought of?... confused!!!!
Of course, if you added on a stern rake to all of this then it would be one 'hell' of a battering! Shades of Bucentaure and Santa Anna at Trafalgar!!!
The amount of markers would empty the box almost???
Sorry if this is confusing you, it is to me a bit
Cheers

Option A is correct as far as I can see Richard.

I concur, Rob. I think that would be 13 a's and 13 b's for the stern rake?
