Always!

It's a little tiring. My co-pilot had a bad day and couldn't help much. I had to run the games mostly by myself and have players signing up for tomorrow.

There will be pictures.

My 1st Lieutenant couldn't attend at all today. He's got back trouble and had to stay home. I ran games for ten hours straight without anything more than a bathroom break. A nice friend got me a burger that I ate at the table. Tomorrow I won't start until 13:00 so at least I get to sleep in.

I'm very glad some friends arrange a free tea bar and even walk around the convention offering tea to everyone. It kept me going.

By the way, they keep track of how much tea they make and so far it's over 900 liters or almost a ton.

That's a long haul to do on your own. Hopefully it wont be as bad tomorrow if you can sleep in and start later?

Ten hours without a G&T:help: I'm not sure that I could sustain that sort of torture without cracking.:surrender:
:sleep:Have a good late start today Jonas.:minis:

Goodness, you had a number of people playing. A couple of questions...

Did you use the same scenario, with six frigates for each side in your games? What form of you scenario did you use? What level of rules did you use and how did new players find them?

Different scenarios mostly made up on the fly depending on number of players and their time available and preferences.
There were a 2 player game, a couple of 4 player games, two 5 player games and a few 6 player games. I just realized that the number 38 is individual players not participants total in the games. As the organizer I reported that number and how many women and how many onlookers back to the main organizers of the convention. They use it to get government funding. The state may contribute to peoples hobbies in Sweden if they are good for you, so no alcohol is allowed.

Only one game used actions and special damage, none planned two moves ahead so most were basic rules with one or two agreed upon more advanced rules. At one time a married couple that demanded to be on opposing sides wanted to use the boarding rules against each others. Boarding rules was added along the way in another instance too.

I should get going on looking through the photos. There are hundreds and I'm still a little burnt out by the whole thing, having to do it by myself.

The players were all positive ranging from: "I will never buy it, but I will play this whenever I get the chance" to "Do the stores have it here on the convention?" The answer to that question, by the way, was "No but they can get it for you til Saturday" and they had several ships. I had them get extra sloops for me.

That's really interesting, thank you. I understand how tiring organising convention events can be. I find I organise too many convention events over the years.

I look forward to some photos when you have time. Your games always look first class.

Thanks for some excellent game mastering at LinCon. One of the newbies was impressed enough to find his way to this forum.

If you ever need another opponent in Linköping, please let me know!
