I have requested a table for Sails of Glory at the IPMS Show in Thornbury on August 7th. Assuming we are successful in our bids for tables there will also be a "Wings" table.

A quiet show today at Thornbury, took a few pics but not much in the way of games.
I had a total of three games, one young lad played in all three and really enjoyed the experience, so much he asked if we would be back next year and could i bring sails... Bless him.
Two other games included gamers from a local group who had the game but had not played so was able to go through the rules for them, had a few discussions explaining the game but no takers.
Will get pics added soon
Thanks for the report and your holding the fort at Thornbury Chris.
I look forward to any pictures that you had chance to take.
Rob.
Here are a couple of photos taken by Neil Ford at the show.

It is great to have sails represented at yet another venue.

Some Pics from last weekends show.
As previously stated not very busy this year and the sails table once again did not attract many players. A few stopped to admire the models, which was nice and to have the game explained but no takers to play except those already mentioned.
The Display. All my ships are neatly esconsed in KR Sails Trays, I cannot recommend these enough, perfect to store and seemingly impervious to damage, at least so far.

The first game saw the two third rates taking on each other, this ended up with a British victory, mainly because I stayed at the back and let the new players sail forward and beat each other up, then I swooped in and raked in the glory,,, aint I a stinker :)
Game two saw me swap sides and take a French ship, the action this time was a lot different, although the French won this time, my partner, the young chap already mentioned in an earlier post, partially destroyed a British ship , but was then boarded and captured, I then took out the Btissh ship that captured him, the last two ships circled each other and finally came in for a boarding action which I as luck enough to win by one crew box.
Last Game saw the Three deckers take on each other, unfortunately we ran out of time with both ships taken damage although myself in the Commerce de Marseille was ahead by two box.
Apologies no pics of the games, they came out very blurry and so of no use.
Anyway an enjoyable day out playing sails, I just wish more people would try it out
Thanks for that Chris.
The harbour is looking good, and the pictures give an overview as to what was going on very well.
