NYPL continues to add new digital content on a daily basis and a great deal of it is in the public domanin. While searching and viewing some of the images available online I came across their "Stereogranimator", which allows you to create stereo images and gif's from existing stereopticon plates.

See here for a plate of the USS Vermont as a receiving ship: http://digitalcollections.nypl.org/items/510d47e1-e318-a3d9-e040-e00a18064a99

If you would like to create your own you can go here: http://stereo.nypl.org/create

You can also search more of the online content via any keyword here: http://digitalcollections.nypl.org/

I found some interesting prints of the USS Constitution: http://digitalcollections.nypl.org/items/510d47e0-f76c-a3d9-e040-e00a18064a99

HMS Victory (cigarette cards): http://digitalcollections.nypl.org/items/510d47dd-c8a3-a3d9-e040-e00a18064a99
