Allo everybody. My box set finally arrived monday and I've been thoroughly enjoying myself since. Oh, I'm John, and from the NE TN area.

Welcome aboard, John. :salute:

I spent some time near Knoxville 30+ years ago. It was beautiful country.

Hello John. Welcome to the Anchorage. Enjoy your Sails of Glory. :hatsoff:

Eric, you must still be tired from Origins? You didn't mention our solo campaign to John?

Ha, I stand corrected, Jim.

I am in the middle of admin work on both sites, awarding medals, etc. I hope to write an Origins debriefing sometime this week. Neil uploaded some pictures, so there is evidence of SoG games being played. I truly hope you can make it some year. It is quite relaxing and a lot of fun hanging out in the group.

I actually found it shortly after my last post, I am definitely interested, but I'll do some more reading before I join in though.

Even if you don't join in, enjoy the play and post an occasional AAR. We enjoy reading such things.

I plan on it. My brother actually has shown interest in playing so hopefully that pans out for some interesting games.

I'll definitely have to attend some year. From the vlog's I've seen on YouTube it's definitely a more laid back gaming convention, but no less active in terms of games to play or people to play them with than Gen Con.

It seems like the perfect mix of size, variety, and attendees. We picked up our badges, etc. in less than 10 minutes. Folks are generally pleasant and unstressed. The center is more than adequate regarding space - never feel crowded. There is a great food emporium less than a block away with seating inside and outside. Most of all, members from the 'Drome and here converge along with a Lend-Lease participant. it really is hassle-free, especially if you stay at an adjoining hotel.

I saw your email about the excel sheet. I will be working on that later this evening and will add you. Welcome to solo play.

I've vaguely got my lists together, though I'm not entirely certain which ranks would be appropriate and such. I'm going with a french fleet and my french is craptastic.

No problem, Eric. There are some really nice photos over on the Aerodrome. Looking forward to your debriefing comments when you get a chance. Unfortunately, outside of the big ship record breaking attempt there are no SoG events listed for Gen Con this year.

Speaking of solo missions I never completed the March mission, which I'm attempting to set up now. This will be interesting.

Since you're sailing for France, I would not concern yourself with ranks; your captains won't last long enough to matter. :swordright: :swordleft:

Simply give me your names in descending order; we already have a rank structure set up. Let me know which two names have a captain's ability - one apiece.

Afraid I'm a bit late with the welcome John, but we can make up for lost time by downing a bottle or three of the old Jamaica.
