Hello all, I'm new to Sails of Glory, but not the age of fighting sail. Just discovered the game recently and just got my starter pack and found this site by looking for all things related to SoG. I am currently playing the alpha testing phase of Naval Action for PC, I highly recommend it, but I grew up on table top miniatures long before there were video games worth a crap and still nothing beats a fun tabletop session for me.

I'd love to meet some SoG players in the Portland, Or area as it's either solo for me or convincing my girlfriend to a basic 1v1 haha.

Really surprised at all the info and depth here, great site you got going.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I have just made myself some nice game boards with a little texture spray and matte ocean blue, well pleased with the results. Will be adding some white caps. I'm still running 1v1s and 2v1s against myself to get the rules memorized so the gameplay will be fluid when I get her to play. She's loved risk and stratego so far so hoping this one will be popular too.
