Greetings Steven. Welcome aboard! I was a noob just over a year ago. It goes away quickly.

I visit central Indiana just once a year for Gen Con in Indianapolis. Cheers!

Welcome aboard, Steven. :salute:

We're currently living in central Illinois. Where in central Indiana are you? It takes us 2.5 hours at most to get to Indy. We are starting to build a WoG/SoG group here, so day trips in either direction, or mid-point trips, might be quite feasible.

Hi guys and thanks. I live in Danville, IN, just west of Indianapolis. I'm real familiar with Gen Con Indianapolis as I am a retired Indianapolis Police Officer (30 years), and interacted with them all the time. We never had any problems with the participants.

Steven,

We have played at a game store in Urbana-Champaign, probably within an hour and a half from you. We could look if there is a game store by the border, otherwise a simple day trip to Indy or Bloomington (IL) can be done during non-dead-of-winter months.

Thank you for your service as a cop. My back went out during testing procedures to become a Chicago cop. To this day, the desire to be one is still very strong. It is a great service you folks perform.

You might plan on attending Gen Con next year if you have time? I expect they'll be doing another Sails of Glory Record Breaker attempt and there are usually at least a couple of Ares Sails of Glory events (which sell out fast btw).

The Colts had a preseason game this year during Gen Con. It's always interesting to watch the reaction and inter action between the various attendees, but as you said I don't think there's ever been any problem.

Welcome aboard! I'm in Seattle, but have relatives in Fort Wayne and Avon--last time I was back there was for GenCon 2010, though... I'm hoping I can persuade Ares that having one of their own onshore as "liaison" with the warehouse would be a good idea and that I'm a logical choice for the job. :D

Thanks guys. I will try to be there. A friend of mine and his brother has a booth at all the Indy Gen Cons. "Pen and Sword", I believe. Fighting sail is a particular genera of mine, books and models.
