Ladies and gents, I've put the finishing touches on the Complete Contents List (http://sailsofglory.org/downloads.php?do=file&id=77) for SGN Waves 1 and 2. For reference, the Version number of the document will always start with the latest Wave at time of compilation, with a sub-version number after indicating revisions and an S suffix for Special releases between waves.

I consider it a huge vote of confidence that our esteemed First Sea Lord turned to me to request this project from--I just hope y'all find it helpful. :)

Thank you for compiling the list, Diamondback.

It's way more than a simple list! DB did a great job on it as well. It's pretty much a must download for all players.... so get your copy now mates!

Thanks very much DB. This is an awesome resource! I may have to take this for printing at one of the local printing shops.

Aw, shucks... Thanks, guys, but I was really just trying to start with the Aerodrome version as a template and then ask "what kinds of other useful features would *I* want in this?"

As with all of my research projects, suggestions for refinement and additional content are always both welcome and highly appreciated--I thought about trying to work up a complete chit breakdown to include, but ended up not doing so out of copyright concerns.

I'll tell you this right now, though: when Wave 3 is announced, this community is going to have a hard decision to make about breaking up the timeline, since it barely all fits on one page right now...

You are correct, Keith. It is a major piece of work.

Oh, a minor note: generally, ships with blank battle-history sections have no known major engagements--I tried to make notes of frigates that spent most of their careers taking on privateers, but if I listed every single capture or sinking some of those ships would have needed an entire page to themselves.

I'm sure it is -- now if the site would actually let me download it (something about "Invalid security tokens")....

Wow thats a really usefull list! Even with the service years of the ships! Thanx for your effort!!! This will be very handy!

Cheers,

So, does that mean we're going further back in time to include pirates and such, or jumping ahead to include more ships for the War of 1812? I'm rather guessing we could be going pirates.

Ares dropped a vague hint to pirates a ways back.

Brilliant DB. :medal: :hatsoff: :salute:

I'm not trying to be cutesy about dropping hints, just saying that Waves 1 and 2 plus MAYBE Victory and Constitution is all that will fit on one page. 1815 end-point is what I've been led to understand as "HARD game-end" if I'm reading Ares right, and 1755 is just a little before the oldest ship in the game.

As I see it, the options will be to break it by either country or rate... either way, it means about half the list on each of the two major pages.

What a great job DB. But is there anyone besides me that has trouble downloading the text. The pictures come out, but the text next to it does not.

Ed, I'll have to do some debugging--I've been noticing a bug in Acrobat that does that recently, and not just on this but on a number of other PDF's when opened using the browser plugin. My local copy opens fine in Acrobat outside the browser, but it sounds like the boys at Adobe have some work to do...

Is anyone else having the same problem? I'm thinking the more data we have, the more we have to work with for identifying and solving the problem.

Log out, clear browser cookies and log back in. That should clear it up for you. Security tokens refers to cookies 98.7% of the time. If you leave a page open for to long that requires you to be logged in to view it, the site will drop the connection and give that error.

Viewed in FF fine for me.

Okay, log out, clear history, cookies and cache, close browsers. Do you have anther browser/computer you can try it from? It's browser issue for sure.

Working on a workaround... Keith, once I have the Dropbox link would you mind adding it to the file description?

Using internet explorer the text wouldn't print next to the picture.
Using Google Chrome, it did.:thumbsup::beer:

Ed, this is also a good reason to have a standalone Acrobat Reader installed in addition to the plug-ins. Browser PI's do that to me sometimes, standalone hasn't yet... and you have a PM.

Yep, being able to log in as the user is very helpful when trying to trouble shoot issues they are seeing and I am not.
