While this was posted on the first of April I'm assuming it's not an April Fools joke? The ships look great and will go on sale in Australia at Little Wars at Adelaide in July. International sales are promised, but no idea when that might occur? I'll be anxious to see how his L'Orent turns out in a couple of weeks. Cheers! http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=341361

Those are pretty neat. Wish there were larger photos or some that showed more of the construction details though.

I had never thought about laser cut card sails... hmmm.

They are good, much better than the old Wizkids pirates series.

Just what I was thinking... "WK Pirates, but enlarged, improved and with less of the silliness of that game."

That said, I could see somebody trying to develop an add-on to use Pirates gear upgrades and crew with SGN... LOL

Actually, it could be pretty cool, as long as the Cheeseball Powergamer Munchkin Bull**** was somehow kept tightly limited.

There was an update today concerning production timeline. Sounds like the response has been overwhelmingly good so he may try to get them out by late May or early June? Martin also mentioned providing two sets of masts and multiple sail settings so the ships can be customized to a degree.

Oh, he also mentioned that he's working on a set of rules.

The pictures on the website look very nice. I am impressed.

When going from 1/1200 to 1/600, would these basically be twice as long, wide, tall, etc.? If so, I would be open to picking up a few just to see.

But it will occupy 4 times more space. I'm not sure this scale suits bigger games, but I'm pretty sure it fits 1-on-1 or so.

It would be fine. I use 1/450 for 1:1 games occasionally. Looks great

Any chance that he might scale them down to 1/1000?
