The incident of the French hussars "capturing" the ice locked Dutch fleet in 1795 is the stuff of legends. You may have seen the various paintings that have depicted the event.
But did it happen as we were all led to believe? You'll have to read the article to find out.
The romantic in me of course believes the hussars did indeed do as they claimed :)
