I'm thinking on doing a ship escort scenario for some ships that are going to land some troops to go hit a fort from the land side. Does anyone know some simplistic Napoleonic rules that would be appropriate for the time scale and unit scale of Sails of Glory?
I got some rules off Dave, but lunacy has crept in and I'm thinking maybe something a little more serious.

How many soldiers/marines per side? Personally, I prefer Airfix rules, but I'm not sure do they fit in.

Ok how about Warlord Games "Black Powder". The key with BP is you can tailor the unit sizes based on what you have and it is battalion scale, which is likely what you want. I am a big "LaSalle" fan as well. Another thought would be one of The Perfect Captain rules. While not strictly Napoleonic, they have two sets which are geared to the War of 1812; "Cousin Jonathan" and "John Bull". The latter is a variant of a company/troop level AWI rule set, which could work for smallish landing actions. Best of all they are free:

I think with John Bull you could come up with stats for French or Spanish units quite easily. Just make sure your color printer ink is full!!
