Hi there. I have been browsing the forums for great info on SOG. I am a big fan of Wings of War & Wings if Glory, so had to buy into SOG when it was on Kickstarter. Anyway looking forward to getting my 10 year son involved as well hopefully getting some games in locally around the St. Louis area.

Smooth sailing.
Thanks,
Jaime

Welcome aboard, Jaime. :salute: :rum:

You'll find some good shipmates in your area, and we're planning a St.Louis-central Illinois get-together once spring arrives. We have several folks here who have grade-school aged children that play WoG and X-Wing, and will be introduced to SoG, so your son would be in good company, well, good company regarding his peers; as for the rest of us, the jury is still out.

Jamie,

There is a demo-intro Sails of Glory Day at Wargamers Cave in Granite City on Saturday, Feb 8th (this coming weekend), beginning at noon.

There is also a similar day set for Game Nite on March 8th, I think. I can confirm and get back with you.

Hope to see you there,

Bob

The Game night demo sounds great in March, maybe we can set up an intro game before then at Game night?

Jaime,

Big Muddy Historical Gaming Alliance runs multiple gaming opportunities per month. Our next game at Game Nite will be Bolt Action. I belive that game is on Sunday 2-16. If I know for sure you will be by, I could bring the Sails and run you through a quick game. But, by all means come by and play some WWII with us.

We do attempt to split our events between Wargamer's Cave and Game Nite, and occasionally at the Fantasy Shop in St. Charles.

BMHGA has a yahoo group and we send out game notices. http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/bmhma/ Just hit the join group button and fill out the form, usually only takes about an hour to get approved.

Hi Bob, that would be great. I will bring my SOG stuff by. Would you be able to meet and play prior to Bolt Action on 2/16?

Jaime, the Bolt Action game is next weekend on 2-16 at Game Nite. I need to set up and play the Bolt Action game first, then could play SoG afterwards (around 5pm). I am committed to a group for the Bolt Action game (its a pre-scheduled event for the shop). Please come over to Wargamers Cave tomorrow, were running 5 straght hours of Sails. I live 25 miles south of St. Louis, so I'm travelling quite a distance to get there but its worth it to play.

The dedicated Sails of Glory day at Game Nite Saturday March 8th starting at Noon.
