Does anyone have plans to make their own ship identification cards to be used with custom SGN and 1/1200 ships?

And will Keith sell SGN bases like he does WOG bases on the Aerodrome?

Im planning on using templates with my 1/1200 models so I don't need to worry about rebasing.

If we find there is a need for them and a way for me to do them since they are so different then the Wings bases.

The first thing you need to address is why should he make bases? Second thing is what would you want in a base?

I'm guessing Ed would keep all his ships on the originals bases, so if custom cards do become available he'll need extra bases to use them with? I don't know if he'd swap other ships in as substitutes or just use the custom cards and bases together? Does Ares sell stock parts, like the base, card shields, or is that where Keith steps in?

Of course if we're just talking about the ID cards that sit down by the big ship cards I'm not sure how that relates to the bases unless Ed is planning entire custom fleets that Ares is unlikely to put into production any time soon; Russian, Dutch, Swedes?

Like I mentioned at the start, I'm talking about mounting 1/1200 ships on Ares type bases (so they look more in proportion when fighting with or against Ares ships) and using custom ship I.D. and fire cards that fit on the bases.

Are the base sizes of the 1/1200 too large to drop onto a SoG base, i.e. do the 1/1200 ships need to be removed from their bases to be put into a new base? I have not received my order, so I am unable to tell.

The bases on my 1/1200's would have to be removed so they wouldn't cover up the I.D. and fire cards.

No need to remove them. You can make fire templates to place alongside models. Works fine, its what I did during play testing

If custom cards become available, I would probably use a thin acrylic bases, the same length and width as SOG bases, with custom cards on top of them and my ships attached on top or the cards. Possibly magnets or a tacking putty could be used to attach the ships to the bases so that the ships could be removed and attached to other types of bases.

This must have came up before and I missed it but, why is the D&C part of the wooden combat ruler shorter than the one that comes with the starter set?
